It's every home brewer's dream to open a brewery. I'm no exception. I started brewing at home around 20 years ago (god that makes me sound old). Around 4 years ago, I started getting very excited at the recent flood of craft brewing enthusiasm and the sudden wealth and availability of craft beer in bottle shops and bars. What made it more amazing for me was the ease of acquiring professional level equipment and ingredients for experimenting at home. And experiment I did!
I began contemplating... I wonder what it would take to start a brewery? The more I investigated this prospect, the more difficult it sounded. However, I managed to delude myself into thinking it was no big deal. As it turns out, opening a brewery is not as easy as it sounds like in your dreams.
